Our Business
Established in 2001 and listed on ASX in 2007, Mt Magnet South is a near term gold producer, currently focussing its efforts on bringing the Kirkalocka Gold Project into production in the first quarter of 2012.
Significant experience with bringing gold projects on stream at both board and senior management level, a healthy resource and a refurbished 1.2mtpa CIL processing plant, and a clear, concise commercial strategy supported by the shareholder base bode well for the Company's ambitions over the next phase of its development.
In addition, an exploration team composed of field dedicated geologists with extensive histories in gold exploration and development point the Company towards additional success along its 70km strike of greenstone belt in the country's second richest gold producing region.
Vision
Mt Magnet South NL will become a multi-project gold producer unbound by geography. Our team of highly skilled professionals with extensive and varied experience in identifying and developing resource projects will bring their skills to bear on bringing the KGP to production, and then on identifying the next multi-million ounce gold deposit, further exposing its shareholders to gold at the production level.

The Kirkalocka Gold Project is located 70kms south of Mt Magnet, within the Murchison Granite- Greenstone Province and specifically at the southern end of the Wydgee - Meekatharra Greenstone Belt. The Curara Well Open Pit is centred on the NNW trending contact between tonalite and amphibolite after basalt. High grade gold is shear hosted within the basalt and closely associated within the tonalite along felsic intrusive contacts.
With a newly estimated resource of 413,000 ozs, together with ongoing drilling and exploration of near mine target (2-7kms from the plant) Curara Well provides significant upside potential and extension to mine life.
Mount Magnet South has extensive tenement coverage over the southern component of the Wydgee Greenstone Belt hosting felsics, banded iron formations and metamorphosed mafics intersected by large scale regional structures, making the area extremely prospective for future discoveries.
